Seems a little steep if we stay a week. I am really considering falling back on tenting.... Does anybody else have lodging recommendations for the November hunt? I think you're better off in your tent because you'll be closer to the spots you've identified from your scouting that you want to hunt. Being out in the woods early and then late will hopefully let you see more moose. If you don't have far to travel back to camp that's a plus. A tent heater takes the chill off pretty well. If it does snow while you're there, prop up the tent roof with a center pole (don't ask how I learned this). - Jay |

Interesting experience to say the least and that tent heater is a must. It gets COLD overnight. I went the first night without the heater because it ran out of fuel. I made sure I had fuel for the following nights. |

A camper might be ok, but I think tenting in Maine in November is a last resort.... Found a place that is reasonably priced but they are 30 miles outside of zone 4. Best I have found in zone 4 so far is $40 per night per person.... "Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart." Psalm 37, verse 4. Wouldn't surprise me if some dickering could be done on a rental price. One hitch might be that some RV rental agencies have restrictions against using them on unpaved roads (pretty much 95% of District Four). |

That is sounding like a good deal to me "Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart." Psalm 37, verse 4.
